Mission


Our mission is to combat the massive misinformation being spread about carbon management solutions, primarily carbon capture and sequestration (CCS). CCS is a game-changing technology that will allow for oil and gas exploration to expand, securing our country’s energy independence and security, but also doing so in a cleaner and healthier way. CCS has been safely in use for nearly 50 years but has come under attack by special interest groups seeking to end U.S. oil and gas exploration entirely.

The American Energy Security Project, Inc. (AESP) is a campaign backed by a coalition of forward-thinking American job creators and entrepreneurs who share a common mission: to educate and advocate for the safe removal and storage of CO₂
from the atmosphere, while creating game-changing economic opportunities for underrepresented communities across Louisiana and nationwide. 


The project is supported by a coalition of entities engaged in all aspects of the carbon management value chain, along with key stakeholders in economic development and community engagement.
